To request a Mass intention, visit the rectory Monday through Thursday, 8:00-3:30 p.m., or call the office (585-586-3231). Please do not send Mass requests for specific dates or days through snail mail, as your desired day/time may not be available and we need a prompt way to communicate that to you. 
 

• The suggested offering for a Mass intention is $10. Any donation above and beyond this does not stay at our parish, so if you wish to make a donation to the Church of St. Jerome, you should do so separately.

• We are typically required to have only one intention for each Mass.
  • We are permitted by The Congregation for the Clergy to make an exception and celebrate two intentions “collectively” if both parties agree, and if this exception occurs no more than twice a week. If you schedule a Mass on a Saturday or Sunday, it is understood that you are agreeing to possibly share the Mass with one other intention. If there are already two collective intentions in a week, we cannot add a third, so if you would like a Mass said on a particular day, it is still important that you schedule it on time.

• ​We are required by Canon Law to celebrate one Mass pro populo or “for the people” for each Sunday and Holy Day. We divide them up evenly between the 4:30, 8:00, and 10:00 o’clock Masses, and for this reason they cannot be moved.

• We kindly ask that each family schedule intentions for no more than five Masses per year, of which no more than three should be weekend Masses. Consider scheduling more of your family’s Masses on weekdays, especially if you regularly attend daily Mass. You may schedule additional Masses for the recently deceased.

• If you have an intention which you wish to bring to the altar and you don't need it to be at St. Jerome's Church, you can request an “Unannounced” Mass. The Mass will be celebrated privately by one of our priests or another priest of the diocese, on a date of his choosing. We would of course be happy to provide you with a Mass card stating that a Mass will be said for the intention.
